TRGS
TRGS is the Tank & Regulator Governance System: a practical digital control layer for dive operations managing cylinders, regulators, inspection intervals, service status, and barcode-based equipment traceability.
What It Does
TRGS is designed for dive centres and marine operations that need equipment visibility beyond paper logs, fragmented spreadsheets, or memory-based control. It supports structured oversight of tanks and regulators through identifiable records, due-date visibility, inspection tracking, and operational status control.
The system is built around barcode-linked asset identity, inspection governance, and offline-first usability, making it suitable for small to medium operations where infrastructure is limited but equipment accountability still matters.
System Overview
Core Governance Functions
- Barcode-based tank and regulator identification
- VIP and hydro visibility
- Service and inspection status tracking
- Quarantine / inactive / active status control
- Searchable equipment records
- Dashboard visibility for due and overdue assets
Operational Design
- Offline-first field usability
- Local database stability for day-to-day operation
- Designed for realistic dive-centre scale
- Supports structured asset record overwrite rather than duplication
- Built for practical equipment governance, not generic inventory logging
- Supports future multi-location development direction
Why It Matters
Equipment failure in dive operations is rarely just a technical event. It is often preceded by weak record discipline, poor visibility, overdue inspection cycles, or uncertainty over whether a unit is operationally fit. TRGS reduces that ambiguity by making asset condition and compliance status more visible, more structured, and easier to act on.
Within the wider Remote Dive Asset Governance architecture, TRGS acts as a digital governance tool: it does not replace leadership, maintenance judgement, or operational standards, but it strengthens the control environment those functions depend on.
